Artist Statement

personal logoDuring my childhood, my involvement with art was more practical such as martial arts, chess, and theatre. However, I was fascinated with technology. Besides playing video games, I always had fun messing around in Microsoft Paint with the family computer. During my middle school years, I really enjoyed designing PowerPoint presentations and building fake websites. Then High School came around and I signed up in the Hanna Information Technology Program, hoping that I would pursue something. Despite not doing any Information Technology, it was a prelude to my future career. My first Adobe Program was Photoshop, where I would often be called “The Magician”. My reputation would bring that fateful day, where one of the student directors from my school’s theatre approached me to create a poster for their upcoming show. Everyone in the production loved the poster. It was simple, but it was the cleanest and most professional-looking show poster out of the many show posters, which were mostly designed in a word document. To make matters even better, my work was posted everywhere at my school which was the most euphoric feeling in the world. That was the day that I decided to pursue Graphic Design.

I believe in self-improvement. The ability to be self-conscious to be making rooms for improvement makes anybody grow exponentially. I hope that one day that I will provide a oneof-a-kind experience that will leave lasting impressions for years to come. The creation of Roamin’ Designer, a multidisciplinary creative studio, was built from that very hope, in hopes of becoming the standard. To be a great designer, one must be willing to be open to many cultures and must be actively critiquing with an open mind. I believe is to be roamin’ around physically and digitally. Hence on why my studio is named Roamin’ Designer.
