MERAKI

In this time of unease, we have felt isolated, and out of control. When motivation, sanity, and enthusiasm is low, all that seems to remain is the impulse to create. With this impulse we have persisted, we have continued our education and created a variety of projects. This collection of projects embodies our hope for the future, our love for the creative process, and our design aptitudes. This is our Meraki, the projects made with the tenacity of creatives seeped with their optimism, motivation, and passion. Projects that gave us stability in such an unpredictable time. And projects we hope you enjoy.

NEPENTHE

Nepenthe is defined as “that which chases away sorrow”. In mythology, it is a medicine that was used for sorrow, a drug of forgetfulness. Art can be used in the same way, to chase away sorrow, a medicine to soothe a restless soul and bring people together. This last year has brought a great sorrow to us all, connecting us and bringing us together in ways we never would have imagined. Nepenthe, our exhibit, our art, can hopefully be used to connect us together for happier reasons, the creativity of all the artists and their designs can hopefully inspire us all to strive and look forward tobetterthings to come.
