Artist Statement
From a very early age I have been interested in color schemes, technology, photography and art. I have always found it very entertaining and therapeutic. I am fortunate to be a Mexican-American and to know both cultures but I have always felt a special connection for the Mexican culture, I love their culture, their colors, their stories, the people, the homey love that reflects whenever I go; I grew up seeing purple, pink, blue and green houses everywhere, I love the creativity and ingenuity of the people everywhere.
When I grew up I moved to the United States and that is when I had my first encounter with graphic design. I had a class with a professor where he taught us how to use each Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop tool and that's where I connected all my passions for photography, technology and art. As time went by I found my artistic style which is retro style and minimalism. While working on a project a colleague told me that she had seen a connection of colors that I always used and researching about styles I identified with those since I always try to use several colors in what I do and sometimes keep it as simple as possible.
My main goal is to be recognized for doing what I love, to be able to teach and inspire others with my work and to guide people in the process to believe in their creativity. What constantly inspires me is to see my progress in my personal projects because it shows me that we are capable of achieving our goals even when we are closer to what limits us.
