Hi! My name is Reynaldo R. Ramos, I have a passion for Graphic Design and Pop Culture. I love working with all kinds of media, especially pen & ink and printmaking. I believe that Communication Design is a great field because it allows us to reach out to a diversity of cultures and communities through a visual approach of ideas and concepts. As a hobby, I enjoy inking comics and illustrations, reading novels and comics and photography.

As far as I can recall, I have enjoyed art and being creative. I enjoy reading, which is a gateway to the imagination, I read comics from time to time and enjoy watch films and shows, animated and live action. I also dabble inphotography, printmaking, filmmaking, and comics. All of which culminate in my work as a Graphic Designer. I get to take snippets of things I enjoy and create something that communicates to others a concept or idea. My personal philosophy is to create work that showcases the best of my abilities and meets my client’s expectations as best as possible. Pertaining to my own work, I like to create art that represents me as an individual and my own interests. I like my work to speak for itself and be a positive representation of my abilities, knowledge and determination as an artist. My determination is to create art that not only sell products or services but to also be storytelling and for the audience to be well-informed.My intentions as an artist is to encourage others to pursue their passions and ambitions and to have a prosperous life.An artist that inspires me is Mike Shinoda, a Japanese-American Graphic Designer and co-founder of the band, Linkin Park. Mike has been a musician his entire life, has found success and has been a part of a revolution in the music industry in the last 20 years. He has been involved in the band’s music production, writing and art direction. He has helped create album art for the and along with the rest of the members, has been part of something great and spread positivity. His style has a street art and hand-drawn aestheticwhich isplayful and graffiti-like. Iappreciate hand-made art, having the artist interact with the medium physically makes it more special and uniquesuch as screen printing, ukiyo-e, and traditional media. I study comic book art, inking specifically and study the work of comic and manga greats like Akira Toriyama,Jim Lee, Frank Miller, Shawn Martini, Scott Williams, Masashi Kishimoto and Takehiko Inoue. I am also influenced by Ukiyo-E artist,Katsushika Hokusai and his Thirty-Six Views of Mount Fuji and contemporary Ukiyo-E artist,Jed Henry and his Ukiyo-E Heroes.
