Hands Off !
With the rates of assaults and kidnappings growing I thought of creating a product that can be used for everyone. A product I landed on was buttons, due to the fact that I would see many people wearing these accessories no matter the age or gender or even job area; they were able to be seen everywhere. My product was meant to have a siren programmed into it, so that if the person wearing it is in any danger, they would turn on a switch that would release a loud noise to alert those around them that they are in danger. Not only that but I thought a button would work best due to its size. Since they are small they are also inconspicuous so if the person wearing the product enjoys button pins and pins on a Hands Off button it would be hidden in plain sight amongst the other pins. However along with this being a quirky accessory for all I didn’t want to distract from the important information being the statistic of attacks and the demographics most affected. On both the poster and packaging I was sure to include 2 important hotlines to contact in the case of sexual assault or kidnapping.
