My name is Britney Vasquez and my enthusiasm for Graphic Design stems from the need to create new content for our ever-changing society. The best part of my “work” is the fact that I find peace and expressiveness in my passions: animating, designing, illustrating, and painting. My purpose as a designer is to create content that communicates across borders no matter the barriers and provokes viewers or other creative minds.

My work is ever evolving, as a perfectionist nothing ever seems complete. As a shy child I grew up loving art because it was a way of expressing myself without using words. Once I hit high school, I took a few Graphic Design classes that just made me fall in love with the topic. My father being a Hispanic male always pushed me to go to college to study law, the generic, vas a ser abogada. This didn’t stop me; I wanted to study Fine Arts and learn more about graphic design. As a Hispanic woman I strive to empower and encourage other young artists to pursue their love of art. Art and design has not only helped me communicate with others but understand my own feelings. That being said, the best part of my “work” is the fact that I find peace and expressiveness in my passions: animating, designing, illustrating, and painting. I generally work on my art and design until I am absolutely exhausted of the piece. Only then will I give it a break, work on something else until fresh ideas hit. Most of the time, when I feel inspired, it is like small images and feelings. When working on the computer I end up with a pyramid of artboards that are different variations until I make “the one”. Tea and music are always what get me working best and flowing with ideas. My purpose as a designer is to create content that communicates across borders no matter the barriers and provokes viewers or other creative minds.
