Artist Statement
As a child I always enjoyed doodling on random pieces paper. This usually happened while I was supposed to be focused on schoolwork. I however never truly considered a profession in art. Throughout my high school years I had the opportunity to take several different art courses including drawing, painting & sculpture. After graduating high school, I put most of my artistic pursuits behind me. I enrolled into collage and focused on a major in criminal justice. I was a good student when it came to my studies but at some point, I no longer felt the drive to continue my degree in criminal justice. I left school joined the workforce full time, married & had a child. life has always been good, but I felt I was missing something. A purpose or calling. Something that I did for my personal pleasure to express myself.
After purchasing my first digital camara I knew right away this was a creative outlet that would become more than just another hobby. While living my everyday life I decided to capture events and scenes around me. By capturing what was simply an interest to myself, it slowly transfigured into more. Since then, I have returned to school to unlock, untapped creativity by pursuing my degree in Graphic Design. I continue to create photography & design work that I am proud of. I continue to practice my craft & have expanded into different mediums throughout the years. I continue to use my photography to capture Lifestyle Fashion portraits & Automotive photography. However, I’m always open to explore other avenues of photography & design media.
