Artist Statement
From a young age, I noticed I had a liking for imitating the visuals around me. Whether it was a favorite character on the TV, a videogame character, and most things that brought me joy. That grew into a passion of wanting things to look aesthetically pleasing, which got me into graphic design. Graphic design for me is a passion that grows slightly almost everyday because of what I see. I enjoy looking at things that are pleasing to the eye. Certain graphics and colors make you feel a certain way, they play with the human brain and I think that is a very interesting thing. For something not that significant, it can make a significant change to human psychology. Design is beautiful in its own way, both that, and art itself, make the world a livelier experience and allows people to become creative in their own ways.
Design surrounds our lives and it affects us in one way or the other without people realizing. It’s a way of communication, which I believe is something important to think about. Some people communicate better with the arts, graphic design is one of those. People can be moved with imagery more than they can with words.
