Colibri
Through out my time at UTRGV I have worked on many projects, and many times on multiple projects at once. This led to many stressful weeks in which I worked hard to deliver a product I am proud of. I used music to help me either focus on my work or relax after having finished said work. For my senior project I pulled from that experience and decided to work on a company named Colibri which is a multimedia music production company. Colibri focuses on music with a slower bpm such as Blues, R & B, or alternative music. For my Poster I used Photoshop and Illustrator and did my own photography. The two main outlets that I thought of for Colibri was music production and a magazine. For the magazine I also did my own photography, used Illustrator to Modify some of the vector designs, Photoshop for some of the photos, and InDesign for the final layout. Colibri’s Magazine focuses on artist that fit within the genre and just general entertainment information that fits within the brands identity. The final aspect of my project is a mockup of some albums produced by colibri for the two artist seen in the magazine. The covers for both albums are both photos I took, and the titles were made in Illustrator. Through out my projects, photography and typography were my weakest aspects and while this project should showcase my strengths, I also wanted to push myself and try to elevate my work. I am proud of my project and think that I sufficiently utilized all that I have learned at UTRGV.
