The Mexican Culture and Film Museum

The Mexican Museum of Culture and Film would present information about the Golden Era in Mexican film, give visitors the opportunity to watch these classics, learn about culture, history, and the people. Everyone would be welcomed into this learning environment and would be encouraged to have an open mind. I decided to work with this topic after noticing that there are not many museums in the United States that give information about Mexican film. I want visitors to learn and make connections between themselves, the people, film makers, and to have a better understanding of the cultural differences and possibly inspire someone to go into filmmaking. This project would promote diversity, how different cultures and nations could learn from and welcome one another. Each piece promotes the museum with eye catching designs. The illustrations on the works are based on famous actors of the time, celebrations, and images that symbolize parts of the Mexican culture. The color themes of the works were inspired by dark movie color palettes and the traditional brighter colors of Mexico.
