Work-Study for On-Campus Supervisors
UTRGV has several opportunities that help students earn wage through the Work-study Program.
Work- study is a financial aid-based program (Federal, State, or Institutional) that assists students seeking part- time student employment. This “self-help” aid helps students develop professional skills and experience by working on-campus. Students earn their work-study award through part-time student employment.
Choosing a work-study employee helps you save money! The Work-study grant is a financial aid program that pays 100% of the wages for work-study student employees. This assists in subsidizing the costs associated with hiring student employees. Best of all, it helps departments fund more student employment positions through these savings.
Note: Work-study funding is based on student’s eligibility and fund availability. Once work-study funds have been exhausted, students can still be hired as Direct Wage!
