Will I be able to convert a grade of "C" to a grade of "pass?"
The Counseling program requires that students repeat any courses in which they receive a grade of C or lower; therefore, you will not be able to convert a grade of "C" to a grade of "pass."
What other issues should I consider when deciding if I should take the pass/no pass option?
- When deciding between a “C” or “No Pass,” you should consider the impact on your grade point average as well as applications for other advanced programs or doctoral programs.
- When deciding between a “B” or "Pass,” you should consider the impact on your grade point average (e.g., will a B lower your grade point average?) as well as applications for other advanced programs or doctoral programs.
Who should I contact in the Counseling Department if I have questions?
Department of Organization and School Leadership
What happens when I complete my master’s degree in Educational Leadership, and I am interested in applying to the Principal or Superintendent certification program? If I select some courses in the master’s program as pass/no pass, how will my GPA be evaluated if I need to have a minimum GPA for admission to certification programs?
Your course(s) in the master’s program in Educational Leadership with the pass/no pass option will not be included in the cumulative average when evaluated for admission to a certification program.
