BS in Physics
A physicist has a solid understanding of the fundamental laws of physics, which in turn can be applied to a wide area of scientific and engineering fields. Physicists develop skills in the areas of experimental, theoretical, and computational physics. As a result of the physicist’s solid and broad background, physicists can apply to a wide range of job opportunities, including national laboratories and research centers, industry, and Academia.
The Department of Physics and Astronomy offers 3 different Degree Plans our students can choose from. The focuses listed below:
- Physics-BS-Pure & Applied (PDF).
- Physics-BS-Biophysics (PDF).
- Physics-BS-Teacher-Certification (PDF).
- Physics-BS-Minor (Required) (PDF).
The Physics and Astronomy Department has established high standards, state of the art research facilities, and dedicated faculty. We encourage you to apply to our program.
