Artist Statement

When I was four years old, I was introduced to drawing, my dad had sketched on an envelope his favorite childhood superhero Kaliman. I was fascinated by how he took an idea and visually drew it on paper. Of course, at four years old I just understood this as a cool superhero drawing. After that I had started drawing my favorite superheroes constantly just improving. Eventually I started drawing everything I saw as I grew older. It wasn’t until college that I realized designing is what I had always had a passion for, where I would share my feelings through my art work and where I really dove to make my work look realistic and as presentable as possible. That has always been what I have found most important about my art is that I always want to make my work presentable and clean, as in with my composition and if it’s an illustration I always want to make it look as realistic as possible. Whenever I start new work I research as much as I can to make the process faster and easier for me whether using references, getting inspiration from an artist, or researching how things are meant to work so I wouldn’t miss anything where it’s supposed be.
