Artist Statement
Hi, I’m Pam! A curious, sometimes extroverted, and at times introverted individual. I love making the most out of things and situations and like to keep myself productive at all times. I started off in a Fashion Design career and moved on to Graphic Design. I’ve never felt this much creative freedom as I do being in this field. I’m a foodie at heart, constantly craving Mexican street corn or just about anything you can add Valentina sauce to.
My inspiration is born in a very organic way; a feeling, a touch, an emotion, a place or a person can immediately spark my creativity. I describe myself as a curious individual. I love to explore and find details in everything such as hidden messages behind things, the textures represented in an art work, the emotions conveyed through a piece as a story unfolds.
Growing up in Mexico and coming to school to the U.S. helped me shape my views on the world by living two different stories and cultures at the same time.
I know there is beauty in everything, I have a creative and positive mind always by my side that lets me explore different ideas unfiltered. As an artist, it is important to speak my mind without fear, I encourage my curiosity to come out and am not afraid of being heard. I am moved by music, motion, emotions, and touched by everyday human experiences that surround me. Nothing has to stay as is, there is always room to transform and evolve.
