Mantierra
Mantierra is a food company changing the world for the better one product at a time. Mantierra’s existence is to enable society to consume mindfully. The environment on Earth is not only ours as humans, therefore, we should strive to keep it healthy for all living things. I chose to create a food related project because this industry produces an enormous amount of plastic waste. Mantierra is a Brazilian company that takes a “zero waste” approach to their brand packaging. Their packaging is made with no plastic and can be easily identified by the signature natural brown paper they’re made with. This exposed raw paper informs and reminds consumers that their products are eco-friendly. The products I created for Mantierra are an açai powder packet, frozen açai bowls, an açai juice carton and a sustainable grocery tote bag. The fruity berry brand colors were inspired by the açai purple berry and the rich magenta color it turns when blended for bowls or smoothies. This fun color palette and modern font catch the eye which is important for a product being sold as grocery stores and online. I also created an app for Mantierra in which consumers can easily order their products from for faster shopping.
