Artist Statement
Hi! My name is Lorelei. I’m a multidisciplinary designer with a passion for branding and identity design, product design, and cover art design. I’m a curious person who is invariably open to learning new skills and techniques, so my design process is constantly changing. When I’m not designing, I enjoy watching thriller films, playing video games, and learning new languages.
I’ve been creating as long as I can remember from drawing, painting and creating art in Microsoft paint. I never pursued art as more than a hobby till I got into high school when my art teacher encouraged me to enter competitions. Despite having this artistic experience early on, I didn’t begin experimenting with graphic design till 2015. From then on my admiration for graphic design quickly developed as did my interest for the various other forms of visual communication.
I believe that design should reach beyond delivering a message. As a designer, design for me serves as a way to explore perceptual limitations. This is why experimentation is of significant importance in my work and will continue to be.
