Artist Statement
I'll be graduating in May 2021 as a Graphic Designer. I am blessed to already be working at what I love with BT Church in McAllen. These past four years have been very challenging; it even became hard to see the reward for my hard work. But God always has a way of proving His kindness in ways I never would have expected, like this BFA Exhibit Project being my favorite piece of artwork, getting to create something I am passionate about. I have truly enjoyed building Valiant Vintage and can't wait to explore what I can do with it further.
I have always been more right-brained: creative, imaginative, and expressive. But I wouldn’t have expected to be wrapping up a Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, working at my dream job using the skills from all kinds of artistic backgrounds. A key lesson from these past four years is that creativity is not something you are born with. It is something that can be practiced and each person has their own creative style. I am grateful for this artistic journey with all its challenges and disappointments because of the growth and rewards it brought.
