SGA Constitutional Amendments
Why do students vote on amendments?
Constitutional amendments that are proposed and approved by the Senate must be placed on a ballot and require an affirmative vote of the majority of students who vote to pass.
Student Election: March 7-9, 2022
The Student Government Association is hosting a special election on March 7–9. The student election will provide an opportunity for the student body to cast their vote on proposed changes to the SGA constitution.
If amendments are passed, the changes would take effect with the 2022-2023 SGA election and the term of office that starts on May 2, 2022.
Voting
Currently enrolled students can vote on Monday, March 7 at 8:00 am through Wednesday, March 9 at 11:59 pm. The ballot will be sent to the UTRGV e-mail with the subject line SGA Constitutional Amendments: Vote Now.
