Spring into fun at UTRGV’s Family Day! 🌸 Visit, bond, and experience campus life at UTRGV with a Spring picnic atmosphere. Students and families will have the opportunity to mingle and connect with the UTRGV Community and other Vaquero families. 🌼

Capture the moment with family polaroids.  Enjoy an exciting lineup of fun, including FREE UTRGV prizes, arts and crafts, delicious food, and the chance to DIY tie dye totes, socks, scrunchies, koozies, and more! 🌞

What is family day?

Family Day is a celebration demonstrating appreciation and recognition of Vaquero families. Bring the whole family for a day of sunshine, bonding, outdoor fun, and blooming memories. 🧡 It’s the perfect chance to reconnect and celebrate together. This is also a great opportunity to connect with the UTRGV community by chatting with Vaqueros and their families.

What should I wear?

Casual dress wear is fine.

Who can attend?

Any current UTRGV student and whoever they consider family (parents, siblings, grandparents, spouse, children, close loved ones). 

Can nontraditional students (post graduate students, students with kids, etc.) attend?

Yes, Family Day is open to ALL current UTRGV students, undergraduates and post graduate students. You are welcome to bring family members, guardians, kids.

What should we do if we have special needs or accessibility concerns?

Please contact FAMILY@utrgv.edu at least 48 hours before the event.
