Resilient Leader Certificate
Our Resilient Leader Certificate was developed and modeled after the Penn Positive Psychology Center's Resilience Training. The center is recognized as a leader in state-of-the-art, evidence-based resilience curricula and resilience programs. The Penn Resilience Program has demonstrated effectiveness in more than 25 years of research, development, and large-scale implementation.

As a result of attending this session:
- Learn the definition of resilience.
- Learn the 6 competencies of resilience.
- Identify one's relative strengths and weakness in terms of resilience competencies.

As a result of attending this session:
- Learn the benefits of gratitude for themselves and others.
- Begin to develop a habit of gratitude with HTGS activity.
- Understand that we can alter counter-productive thinking.

Session 4: Avoiding Thinking Traps
As a result of attending this session:
- Understand how thinking traps undercut resilience.
- Learn the seven common thinking traps and identify which they are prone to.
- Use mental cues and critical questions to avoid traps.

- Learn the definition of catastrophic thinking, and the three styles of catastrophic thinking.
- Identify common triggers to catastrophic thinking

- Brainstorm ways to rejuvenate.
- Discuss research on positive emotion.
- Understand the role positive emotions has on well being.

- Identify personal values and explore how they relate to resilience.
- Identify what makes for effective communication.
- Review 3 styles of communication.
- Practice the IDEAL model to communicate assertively.
