Other summer courses are offered on an as needed basis, usually in response to student petitions.
Student Petitions
The EE department welcomes petitions from students suggesting course offerings.
Most elective courses and summer courses have been the result of successful petitions.
The following types of petitions are favored:
- At least 15 names with legible ID numbers and e-mail addresses
- Delivered at least a few months before the semester starts
- Requesting an elective course
- Requesting a time change to avoid conflicts
- Requesting a summer course
The following types of petitions are not favored:
- Benefiting only a few students or without contact information
- Requesting a change of instructor
