Samantha Solis earned a Master of Education in Counseling with a specialization in Clinical Mental Health from UTRGV and was a recipient of the PCBH (Primary Care Behavioral Health) certificate, a specialized grant program designed to prepare clinicians for work in integrated care settings. After completing her degree, she joined the UTRGV School of Medicine as a Behavioral Health Consultant Fellow, where she provides direct patient care, supporting individuals in addressing their behavioral health needs within primary care settings.
In addition to her clinical work, Samantha has presented a poster titled "From Trainee to Fellow: A PCBH Workforce Development Pipeline to Address Mental Health in Primary Care Along the Texas-Mexico Border" at the Collaborative Family Healthcare Association conference. This presentation highlights the importance of workforce development and the integration of behavioral health in primary care, especially in underserved areas.
Outside of her professional responsibilities, Samantha enjoys spending quality time with her family and pets. She is passionate about movies and reading and is an avid runner who enjoys staying active. Her interests and dedication to her work contribute to both her personal and professional fulfillment.
