Dr. Henry Reinhart was born and raised in El Paso, Texas. He graduated Magna Cum Laude with a bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Texas Tech University and earned his medical degree from The University of Texas Southwestern. He completed his Surgical Residency at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, where he received the Raleigh Ross Award from the Texas Surgical Society, among other honors. After completion of his residency training, Dr. Reinhart continued his medical education and completed his Endocrine Surgery Fellowship at Baylor Scott & White Health.
Dr. Reinhart serves as a board-certified General Surgeon and Fellowship-trained Endocrine Surgeon at UT Health RGV. He is board certified by The American Board of Surgery and specializes in minimally invasive thyroid, parathyroid, adrenal, and general surgeries. At UT Health RGV, he treats a full range of conditions such as thyroid cancer, thyroid nodules, hyperthyroidism, Hyperparathyroidism, and parathyroid cancer.
Dr. Reinhart is also a member of The American College of Surgeons and the founding program director of the General Surgery residency program at Valley Baptist Medical Center.
He joined the UTRGV School of Medicine Faculty in 2017 and currently serves as an Associate Professor of Surgery.
