Dr. Frank Gerold earned his medical degree at the University of Texas Medical School at Houston. He completed his orthopedic surgery residency at St. Luke’s-Roosevelt Hospital Center in New York, NY (now part of the Mount Sinai Health System), and he competed his hand and upper extremity surgery fellowship at Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood, IL.
Dr. Gerold is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon at UT Health RGV who specializes in upper extremity treatment and surgery. When a fracture or severe injury takes one hand or arm out of the equation, it really changes a patient’s life. Dr. Gerold delivers outstanding orthopedic care to patients by getting them fixed, rehabbed, and on the road to recovery.
Dr. Gerold is currently an Assistant Professor of Orthopedic Surgery at the UTRGV School of Medicine, educating and training the next generation of leaders in medicine, research, and patient care.
