Welcome to the Privacy Office at The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV). We oversee the institution’s compliance with HIPAA privacy rules, other federal laws, state privacy laws, and UT system and institutional policies.
The Privacy Office collaborates with institutional stakeholders to develop privacy policies and procedures, educate UTRGV employees on privacy rules and regulations, investigate and respond to suspected privacy infractions, and monitor institutional operations to ensure compliance.
