As of October 1st, 2023, I have completed my internship with the EFAS program. Thanks to the help of the EFAS program, I was able to get connected to other awesome research opportunities like the one I participated in this summer with the TAMU Entomology department. I am currently working as a research student in the UTRGV Integrative School of Biological and Chemical Sciences. I am working on my last semester of undergraduate school, and I am expecting to graduate in December of 2023. I will continue my education through a master’s degree in agricultural science with a focus on genetics. I intend on applying to various molecular biology graduate opportunities here in Texas to pursue my goal of becoming a research scientist.
