Where I am now:

I joined the EFAS program January 2020 as an undergraduate senior where I was involved in 2 graduate student thesis projects. The experience I gained during this time was very beneficial to my scientific research and professional development amongst many other things. The wonderful experience I had under the mentorship of both Dr. Feria and Dr. Pereira convinced me to pursue a graduate degree in Agricultural, Environmental, and Sustainability Sciences at URGV. I am currently employed by the United States Department of Agriculture’s Natural Resource Conservation Service (USDA-NRCS) as 1 of 11 Urban Conservationists in the state of Texas. I am stationed in San Benito, TX where I serve 14 counties in Deep South Texas where I am proud to serve urban and small-scale producers who have historically been denied equal access to our technical and financial assistance.
