Where I am now:

As of September2023, I am completing my second year at UT Austin in Computational Engineering. I am currently working as an undergraduate research assistant under Dr. Clint Dawson at the Oden Institute and I am excited to be gaining experience in software related to flood modeling and mapping cropland. Using this experience, I am also currently working on a project through the EFAS program. This project consists of producing flood models of the area around the Rio Grande Valley and observing the impact of nature-based objects such as dunes and forests on the amount of flood damage to agricultural land. After participating in the EFAS program, I intend to continue in this field and pursue a career related to computational modeling of the impact of climate change on different land types including agricultural land.
