Where I am now:

I completed my Bachelor of Science and Arts in Neuroscience at the University of Texas at Austin this past May of 2023. I have recently commenced my IRTA Post Baccalaureate Fellowship at the National Institutes of Health main campus in Bethesda, Maryland. The EFAS program has equipped me with valuable skills in laboratory work and exposure to academic conferences. I am appreciative of the opportunity to have formed part of EFAS cohort and for the guidance provided by Dr. Pereira and fellow lab members. This experience prompted me to seek further research-focused opportunities during my undergraduate career and post-graduation. While I aspire to pursue a career as a physician, I now possess a greater understanding of the significance of agricultural research in various contexts and its profound relevance in medicine.
